Malaysia and Mom

Kuala Lumpur

Our flights to Kuala Lumpur- KL went as planned landing us about an hour outside the city. We made our way into KL and found our ‘Tune’ hotel. These are a new range of Malaysian hotels that operate like a no frills budget airline, with the rooms starting at an internet price of $3- but you’ll be extremely luckily to get that rate. We did ok at about $20 a room and thankfully on inspection it was up to mother standards! They have a few branches around the country, with one at the airport and one opening soon in Bali. So after a quick look around it was back to the airport to collect mum!

Yippee, it was so great to see mum again- not having seen her since the wedding last October.

She was looking and feeling great even after her long flight, but we didn’t make it out of the airport for another while as we’d so much chatting to do over a nice cuppa and snacks!

We spend the next day looking around the city, but concentrating on the Petronas towers and its accompanying shopping centre- although it’s safe to say most of the time was spent over coffee breaks and catching up!

Mum loved the city. Just one more night there and it’s on to Indonesia for our Balinese holiday and to meet Demelza again.
